Sara Krivanec, IBCLC!!

I’m excited to share that I PASSED the IBCLC boards! I’m officially an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant!

This has been a dream of mine for so long and I could not have met this milestone without the support of my family, friends, colleagues and mentors. A special shout out goes to Hinde Haa & Colleen Ross of The Center for Speech and Swallowing, where I completed my 500 clinical hours. I’m so grateful for their mentorship as I took in so much from these specialists in oral anatomy, infant body mechanics and lactation. Thank you to the families that allowed me to provide education and guidance, listening to their stories, supporting those that were struggling and celebrating when things just clicked. Your vulnerability and generosity have helped this to be possible!

I also have been mentored by renowned IBCLCs, Nancy Mohrbacher (Breastfeeding Made Simple) and Barbara Robertson (Breastfeeding Center of Ann Arbor and co-author of the upcoming edition of Breastfeeding Answers with Nancy). I did their 95-hour LactaLearning educational program and their IBCLC exam prep and will continue to learn from them! Nancy’s textbook has been a go-to as I’ve worked as a CLC these past seven years.

I’m excited to expand my services to include insurance. Soon, families will have the convenience of using their in-network lactation benefits directly, making lactation care more accessible and cost-effective.
